Looking for a big topwater explosion in tropical seas but you are not sure you can work 150g lures + 40g of treble hooks for hours under the sun? That's why Baboon 166 was born! The little brother of Baboon 180! 166mm long and weighing 116g. Designed to be rigged with two large 6/0 or 5/0 treble hooks, it maintains a low weight with this setting but still delivers exceptional performance. Baboon has been developed keeping in mind the following parameters: the highest water grip possible, generate roars and thunders on the surface with big splashes, bubbles tunnels mixed with water vortex, exceptional swimming action (per un popper?!? Forse toglierei swim action) and, last but not least, 0 compromise on casting distance. With its 2mm through-wire and made with lightweight composite resin coated with 4 epoxy layers, this lure is made to last for thousands of casts and hundreds of sharp teeth bites. The best techniques are "long and noise popping" and "short and noise popping" however as general gold rule, choose your wave and use a proper jerk cadence to maximise the popper’s effect avoid to pop it while on the crest of the wave. If you are used to cast big cup popper, Baboon 166 requires you to slightly reduce the jerk-force allowing it to do his job properly…once you get the proper rhythm it will become one of your best friend whether you are an experienced angler or beginner.
